Fans, players and coaches saw an all too familiar scene when UNLV trimmed Kentucky's 20 point second half lead to a mere three points, when UNLV's Joe Darger nailed a three-point shot with four minutes to play on Monday night. FRESNO – Tre’Von Willis enjoyed a happy homecoming. Darris Santee had his coming out party. And UNLV snapped its two-game losing streak with a 82-76 victory over Fresno State (2-4) on Wednesday night at the Save Mart Center. All in all, it was a very fertile night for Lon Kruger’s Runnin’ Rebels (6-2) in the farmlands known as the San Joaquin Valley.   Full Story

There’s something about Northern Arizona that seems to bring out the best of UNLV guard Kendall Wallace. The 6-foot-4 sophomore from Mesa, Ariz., who was recruited by the home-state Lumberjacks but decided to head a few hours northwest to Las Vegas instead, had his career-high nine points in his Division I debut against NAU last year in Flagstaff.    Full Story

We had our first game on Thursday night in Sutherland, Australia, and lost to the Sutherland Sharks, 72-64. I thought we played just okay as could have been expected. We had a little bit of jet lag and I thought in the second half we got our legs under us and worked harder. We made the extra pass better in the second half, but didn’t shoot it very well all night.   Full Story
